In the early 1950's, Jim & Sam Schrementi opened a bar and kitchen called Jim & Sam's in the old Wood's Hotel building which is now the site of a gas station at Route 1 & Exchange Street in Crete. Their friendliness, quick wit, and dedication to their patrons soon won the hearts of the mostly German town folk.

This place has GREAT BBQ, you can't be disappointed here. If you end up disappointed you are actively trying to be unhappy. Servers are above and beyond friendly and excellent are their jobs. Beers are cold. Food is always amazing. Great appetizers, great entrees, I just simply can't tell you how I love this place. There is a separate bar area. They often have live music. This place is a great night out.
Delicious food. Went for breakfast and got the country fried steak... my word was it good! Friendly staff and awesome price to portion ratio. I am new to the area and I am exploring all the restaurants here.
Had the hot burger on a brioche bun. Ordered it rare. My choices were Rare, medium or cooked. It was one of the best burgers that I have hade in a long time!!! I also went with the grilled vegetables. Everything was delicious. I will definitely be back!
Truly the first good experience at a restaurant in 2025. Great staff, great location, great patrons and excellent food. Outdoor seating with industrial heater bars kept us all warm late at night.
Our first visit here - but not our last!!! The fish was among the best that I have ever had - and the staff was even better than that. Top it off with phenomenal live music and a great atmosphere. Top that all off with the fact that it is family friendly. Can't wait to come back.
